XIAOMI HAS KICKED OFF 2023
WITH A BANG
Xiaomi has kicked off 2023 with a bang,
introducing its latest premium devices at the Xiaomi 13 Ultra event. The
company has launched four new products including the Xiaomi 13 Ultra
smartphone, Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet series, Xiaomi Smart Band 8 fitness band, and
Xiaomi TV Master Mini LED 86.
Let's take a closer look at each of these new devices.
1) Xiaomi 13 Ultra
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is the successor to the
Xiaomi 13 Pro, which was recently launched in India. The device boasts four
50-megapixel cameras, a step up from the three 50-megapixel cameras found in
the 13 Pro. It features a 120Hz 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with Dolby
Vision and HDR10+ support. Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra
has a 90W (wired) charging speed, co-created Leica rear camera system, and a
32-megapixel selfie camera.
Priced at RMB 5,999 (around Rs 71,600 in India),
the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is an expensive offering but is packed with top-of-the-line
features that make it worth the investment.
2) Xiaomi Smart Band 8
Despite the decline in popularity of fitness
bands, Xiaomi has launched its latest Smart Band 8, offering a pill-shaped
display with an increased viewing area of 1.62 inches. The AMOLED display
provides better color accuracy and vividness.
Xiaomi claims that the Smart Band 8 comes with
various accessories to wear the band as a necklace or fix it to shoes. The
device promises an improved battery life with fast charging and supports
automatic adjustment according to ambient light intensity. The Xiaomi Smart
Band 8 is priced at CNY 249 (around Rs 3,000).
3) Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro
Xiaomi has unveiled two tablets this year -
Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro. Both feature 11-inch IPS LCDs with 1800 x 2880 px
resolution. The Pro model offers a snappier 144Hz refresh rate, while the vanilla
model offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi Pad 6 includes a Snapdragon 870
SoC, and the Pro carries a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 includes an 8,600 mAh battery
with 67W charging, a 50-megapixel rear camera, and a new 20-megapixel selfie snapper
with a front-facing sensor. The Pad 6 also features a 13-megapixel rear sensor,
an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and an 8,840mAh battery with 33W charging.
The Xiaomi Pad 6's price starts at CNY 1,999
(around Rs 23,800), while the Pro model starts at CNY 2,699 (around Rs 30,100).
4) Xiaomi TV Master Mini LED 86
Last but not least, Xiaomi has also launched its
latest smart TV series with the Xiaomi TV Master Mini LED 86. The TV features
1,080 Mini-LED backlight zones, achieving 2,000 nits peak brightness when
showing HDR content. It boasts OLED-like capabilities, offering perfect black
spots and a 144Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for gaming and movie viewing.

14,999 (around Rs 1.78 lakh).
