XIAOMI HAS KICKED OFF 2023 WITH A BANG

Xiaomi has kicked off 2023 with a bang, introducing its latest premium devices at the Xiaomi 13 Ultra event. The company has launched four new products including the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone, Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet series, Xiaomi Smart Band 8 fitness band, and Xiaomi TV Master Mini LED 86.

Let's take a closer look at each of these new devices.

1)   Xiaomi 13 Ultra

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is the successor to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which was recently launched in India. The device boasts four 50-megapixel cameras, a step up from the three 50-megapixel cameras found in the 13 Pro. It features a 120Hz 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a 90W (wired) charging speed, co-created Leica rear camera system, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Priced at RMB 5,999 (around Rs 71,600 in India), the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is an expensive offering but is packed with top-of-the-line features that make it worth the investment.

2)   Xiaomi Smart Band 8

Despite the decline in popularity of fitness bands, Xiaomi has launched its latest Smart Band 8, offering a pill-shaped display with an increased viewing area of 1.62 inches. The AMOLED display provides better color accuracy and vividness.

Xiaomi claims that the Smart Band 8 comes with various accessories to wear the band as a necklace or fix it to shoes. The device promises an improved battery life with fast charging and supports automatic adjustment according to ambient light intensity. The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is priced at CNY 249 (around Rs 3,000).

3)   Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro

Xiaomi has unveiled two tablets this year - Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro. Both feature 11-inch IPS LCDs with 1800 x 2880 px resolution. The Pro model offers a snappier 144Hz refresh rate, while the vanilla model offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi Pad 6 includes a Snapdragon 870 SoC, and the Pro carries a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

Last but not least, Xiaomi has also launched its latest smart TV series with the Xiaomi TV Master Mini LED 86. The TV features 1,080 Mini-LED backlight zones, achieving 2,000 nits peak brightness when showing HDR content.
